SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Sheboygan woman is facing charges for an alleged drugged driving crash.
31-year-old Ramona Garcia faces one count each of 4th time OWI with a minor in the vehicle, driving with a revoked license and bail jumping.
According to a criminal complaint, police were called out on Friday for a report of a three vehicle crash on the 1300 block of South 10th Street. When they arrived, they say they found Garcia's car with heavy damage facing the wrong way in traffic. She also had her eight year old daughter inside the vehicle.
Police say Garcia claimed she'd been swerving to avoid a pothole when she crashed into the car on the other side of the road. Police allege that Garcia was slurring her words and appeared impaired, but not drunk. Police say Garcia then failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
Garcia remains in jail on a $5,000 cash bond. She'll be back in court next week for a preliminary hearing.
