SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Sheboygan man who had been accused of sexually assaulting a child has been found not guilty.
37-year-old Javon Lyke was found not guilty of repeated sexual assault of a child after a three day jury trial last week.
Lyke was charged back with the crime in September of 2015 after a 14-year-old girl came forward and told police that he had allegedly assaulted her multiple times in 2014. When interviewed by investigators, Lyke denied the accusations and said the most he touched the victim was with a hug.
He had faced up to 60 years in prison if convicted on the charges.
