HOWARDS GROVE, Wis. (WHBL) -- Charges have been filed against a Howards Grove man after he allegedly drove into a home this weekend.
34-year-old Ryan Schuette faces one count each of operating after revocation and failure to keep a vehicle under control.
According to a criminal complaint, deputies were dispatched around 6 pm on Sunday for a report of a vehicle striking a home on the 700 block of Audubon Road. When responders arrived, they found a vehicle in the side of a house, both with significant damage. Investigation at the scene showed that Schuette had been traveling southbound on Audubon when he swerved across the road, jumped the curb and then drove into the house. Schuette was arrested for operating after revocation and failure to keep a vehicle under control.
When deputies interviewed Schuette, he told them he was on several different medications for anti-anxiety. He also told them that he had no recollectionof the accident and the last thing he remembers is leaving Walmart Sunday afternoon.
No one inside the house at the time of the crash, and Schuette was not injured.
Schuette is scheduled to make an initial appearance to the charges in June.
