SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- Sheboygan police are continuing their series of get together with the community with the Coffee With A Cop sessions.
Beat officer Andrew Kundinger says these events are a great chance to let the police know what's going on around your neighborhood. "It's important for us to reach out to the community and let them know that we understand that there's things happening that we may or may not be aware of and talk with citizens on how they feel that we could serve them better."
The events have been held since last winter and Kundinger says they've been successful at bringing people out into the community. He says it's important to oice your concerns. "Sheboygan is your community, and the more people who are involved in their community, the better you feel about living in that area. It brings a sense of ownership to your neighborhood." He also says it's a great chance for local businesses to get people in their store that might not otherwise visit.
The next event will be Salsa With A Cop at La Conquistadora on Monday. That runs from 4 to 5:30 pm. You can find out more online at the police department's website.
