SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- The two men charged in a jailhouse fight over ramen noodles in February were sentenced this week on the original charges that landed them in jail.
29-year-old Luis Aceves will spend 120 days in jail after pleading no contest on Monday to possession of narcotics and obstruction.
19-year-old Austin Barry received a suspended sentence on vehicle theft, disorderly conduct, and theft charges and will spend three years on probation.
According to the criminal complaint, the two men got into an argument over food and specifically two missing packets of ramen noodles. The two started a shoving match in their pod's day room, but fellow inmates prevented the fight from getting worse. The two continued shouting at each other for several minutes before corrections officers intervened.
