SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Sheboygan man is under arrest on drug charges because a woman he was trying to date tipped off the cops after he sent her threatening messages.
22-year-old Bee Yang was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, obstructing an officer, and driving after revocation on Wednesday.
According to a criminal complaint, police were tipped off after a woman told police that Yang was sending her threats via texts. The woman said that she and her roommate had been receiving gifts from Yang for two months, but that lately he'd been trying to pressure them into having sex. He then started sending those threatening texts.
Police put Yang under surveillance, and spotted him driving without a valid license. When officers stopped him, they brought out the city's K9 unit to do a sniff. A search of his vehicle and person found over $2,000 in cash and the remains of marijuana in a large number of plastic bags. Yang also allegedly lied to the cops about his identity when first questioned.
Yang remains in custody on a $2,500 cash bond, and will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on April 29th.
