MADISON, Wis. (WHBL) -- More information has been released as to what caused a deadly fire in Sheboygan Falls in January.
USA TODAY- Wisconsin says a report from the State Department of Justice shows that the fire that killed three children in that home likely started in the basement, but the exact cause of the fire is still undetermined. The report says that the fire may have started near a ceiling light, though if that was caused by faulty wiring or a faulty element can't be determined.
11-year-old Natalie Martin, 10-year-old Ben Maki and 7-year-old Carter Maki died due to complications from smoke inhalation. 9-year-old Jenna Martin escaped without injury.
