SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- Sheboygan deputies have one person in custody following a high speed chase early this morning.
Deputies spotted a vehicle with Texas license plates speeding southbound on I-43 near Highway 42 around 2:30 this morning. When deputies tried to stop the vehicle, it took off and fled from officers. That chase reached speeds of around 120 miles per hour.
Deputies unsuccessfully attempted to stop the vehicle with a spike strip before the driver made an exit into Oostburg. The vehicle turned down a dead end road in the Town of Holland and wrecked there.
The driver fled the vehicle, and a female passenger was taken into custody. Deputies have not released the woman's identity at this time.
