SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- If you're looking for a new job, you can meet with over 60 employers today in Sheboygan.
Today is the spring Lakeshore Community Job Fair, and employers will be on site at Blue Harbor Resort meeting with potential employees. Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation director Dane Checolinski says companies are getting ready for the summer seasons already. "Whether you're interested in manufacturing, hospitality, service industry, the reality is this is the busy season that we're entering for many of our companies. This time of year is when companies become most hungry and looking for employees."
Businesses that have confirmed for the day range from Kohler Hospitality, Kwik Trip, Spancrete, and Thrivent Financial. Checolinski says many companies are sending their hiring managers or HR staff, and that means you've got direct access to the people who will be hiring you. "So if you're a job seeker and you've been disenfranchised with the current system, you haven't had good luck, this is going to be one of your best chances of getting in, talking to someone, and selling yourself for a position."
Checolinski recommends bringing multiple copies of your resume, and be sure to dress for the job you're trying to get.
