SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- A Sheboygan man accused of child sexual assault may not be competent to stand trial.

20-year-old Adrian Reinwand is scheduled for a competency evaluation today. He's currently charged with one count of repeated sexual assault of a child.

In their criminal complaint, police say Reinwand repeatedly had sex with a female cousin from June of 2006 and March of 2010. Reinwand allegedly stopped assaulting the cousin when she reached the age of 13. She was finally able to report those assaults in December of last year.

When police arrested Reinwand, he denied the allegations and said he'd never touched his cousin. He then claimed he had no idea what happened, because he suffers from bipolar disorder, ADHD, ADD, OCD, and LD.

Online court records show he was convicted in 2013 for second degree sexual assault of a child felony. He was also ordered to serve nine months in the local jail in 2014 after he violated a previous sentence for the charge.

Reinwand remains in custody on a $50,000 cash bond.
