PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WHBL) -- A standoff in Plymouth was resolved peacefully yesterday thanks to the work of officers and negotiators on scene.
Police were called to the 700 block of South Pleasantview Road after a man inside the home was threatening self harm. Reports say the call came from Prevea after the man told medical staff that he was going to harm himself because he wasn't getting his medications, and that he'd shoot any police that came to stop him.
Officers from the State Patrol and the Sheriff's Department showed up to help Plymouth Police, who were able to negotiate with the man and take him into custody peacefully.
Area schools and bus services were contacted to ensure student safety. No one was injured. The man is not being identified at this time, but is in custody for evaluation.
