SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - It wasn't a lot, but over two inches of snow in the Sheboygan area Monday caused a number of vehicle accidents.
“Between 4 and 11 (p.m.) we had ten vehicles in the ditch, eight property damage accidents, and two injury accidents," says Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department Patrol Sergeant Shawn Splivalo. "Thirteen of those 20 were on the interstate.”
The Sheboygan Police Department didn't provide a number of calls, but scanner traffic indicated they also had their fair share of minor accidents across the city. At one point, they issued an alert for people to be careful driving around hills and intersections as these were the common places for drivers to run into trouble.
Road crews have been out all night to clear roadways for the morning commute.
