SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - One of Sheboygan County’s largest employers says 2015 was a record revenue year.

ACUITY of Sheboygan says written premiums had an overall gain of nearly 90-million dollars.  That is a seven percent increase from 2014, and brought the insurance company’s revenues for the year to an all-time high of 1.33-billion dollars.

President and CEO Ben Salzmann said in a press release that the company has grown 250 percent faster than the insurance industry average over the past 16 years.  “In the 48 months alone, our company added nearly $500 million to its top-line revenue.”

The company says they achieved significant growth across all lines of business and throughout their operating territory in 2015.  That includes over 200-million dollars in new business, the fourth straight year this has happened.  2015 also was the 19th straight year for premium gains in their personal lines as they saw double-digit growth.  For their commercial lines, the company reports a new record for percentage of quotes that became issued policies.

Vice President of Sales and Communications Wally Waldhart says the success of 2015 is a result of the work done by the company’s staff and agency force.  “We are extremely grateful to all our people for helping us achieve another record-setting year, and we look forward to continued success in 2016.”

ACUITY says the growth in their business has resulted in a growth in employment.  Last year saw 135 new staff members hired, and they plan to hire 120 more through the first half of 2016.  Following these hires, the company will have expanded its job force by 700 in the past five years.
