SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan’s Common Council has a new alderperson in place.
During its first meeting of 2016 Monday evening, council members selected Rosemarie Trester to fill the District Three seat made vacant by the resignation of Darryl Carlson.
In her letter of interest to the city, the Sheboygan resident says she is the current Vice President of the North Flats Neighborhood Association, a representative on the Mayor’s Neighborhood Leadership Council, and completed the Sheboygan Police Citizens Academy last year. The lifelong Sheboygan resident added she is a retired hospice chaplain, works as a volunteer chaplain, and said her love and commitment to Sheboygan would make her a good candidate.
Trester’s appointment will last through April of 2017, when the seat is up for election.
