TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department is advising the public of a sex offender release happening this week.
39 year old Joseph Engl will be paroled from Fox Lake Correctional Institution, and will move to a residence on Country Meadow Drive in the Town of Sheboygan. The department says Engl will be under GPS monitoring and will need to follow specific rules such as not being allowed to congregate where children do, and not to reside in a home with any minor children.
Engl was sentenced in 2013 for second degree sexual assault of a child and child enticement for his actions with a 15 year old girl in Manitowoc County back in 2011. He was also sentenced to probation in 2004 for using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime in Milwaukee County.
The sheriff’s department says the reason for publicly announcing Engl’s release is because his past criminal history “places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend.”
Anyone who notices Engl violating any rules or conditions of his parole is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department.
