SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - While the unemployment numbers did not change much in October, the number of jobs in Sheboygan County did.
Figures released last week by the state Department of Workforce Development show the Sheboygan metro area gained 11-hundred seasonally adjusted jobs in October when compared to September.
However, the job growth did not impact the unemployment rates much in our area, which are already at some of their lowest points in years. The City of Sheboygan saw a drop in its rate by one-tenth of one-percent to three-point-three, while Sheboygan County’s rate was unchanged at three-percent even.
Unemployment rates have been on a decline through most of 2015 across the state, and that trend continued in October with a majority of counties, major cities, and metro areas seeing theirs drop. The state’s rate remained unchanged at four-point-three percent.
