Explosion and Fire at Hexicon

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - An explosion and fire Sunday did an estimated $25,000 damage to a chemical shed at Hexicon Specialty Chemicals in the city of Sheboygan.  The Fire Department said the call came in about 4:30am as an explosion.  They said when firefighters arrived at the firm on 24^th Street there were no flames, but they did find evidence of an explosion.  Fire crews shut down the chemical processing and checked for chemical leaks, but none were found.
