SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man was sentenced last week for committing his fifth OWI offense over 18 months ago. Judge Angela Sutkiewicz sentenced 44 year old Troy Spangenberg to 12 months of jail time and three years probation after he pleaded guilty to the charge.

The criminal complaint for the case states a Sheboygan County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop near the Handle Bar Saloon in the Town of Wilson in April of 2014.  It was for a vehicle that the deputy found had its owner, identified as Spangenberg, with a revoked license.

During the traffic stop, the deputy determined the driver, Spangenberg, was under the influence and took him into custody.

In addition to the jail and probation, Spangenberg will have his license revoked for three years, and must use an ignition interlock for three years.
