SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan Falls man will have to spend at least nine months in jail after committing his fifth OWI offense.  Judge James Bolgert sentenced James Friend last week to 12 months of jail, with three months stayed, plus two years probation.

According to the criminal complaint, the 54 year old was spotted by a Sheboygan County Sheriff’s deputy driving his vehicle very slowly and swerving on Highway 28 west of Sheboygan.  After stopping the vehicle near I-43, Friend was found to have a blood alcohol level more than four times the legal limit at 0.33.

In addition to the jail and probation, Friend will have his license revoked for two years, and will need to use an ignition interlock for two years.
