FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI (WHBL/KFIZ) - Two accidents in Fond du Lac County over the weekend resulted in one death and one serious injury.
The deadly accident occurred near North Fond du Lac Saturday evening. The Wisconsin State Patrol says 34 year old Joshua Stuhr was traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 45 when the vehicle lost control, slid sideways and crashed into a tree. The State Patrol adds he was wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol was a factor in the accident.
On Friday night, A 26 year old Lorima man was seriously injured after his vehicle went off Timberland Drive in the Town of Ashford. County sheriff’s deputies say the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and ended up striking a tree. The man was flown to Froedtert Hospital. The department says failure to maintain control and alcohol are believed to be factors in this accident.
