SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Plymouth area man will have to spend 30 days in the local jail for sexually assaulting a teenage girl last year. Judge James Bolgert recently sentenced Charles Tobin to the jail time, plus deferred sentences for three years, after the 19 year old pleaded no contest to charges of repeated sexual assault of a child, and fourth degree sexual assault.
Tobin was charged in May after a Kohler High School classmate reported the actions he committed the previous fall. The criminal complaint against him states the two had been in touch through social media for a few months, but the relationship took a sexual turn. The victim said he inappropriately touched her twice in one day in late October, then he assaulted her in his bedroom on a different day.
When interviewed about the allegations against him, Tobin said he remembered two of the incidents.
Tobin is scheduled to start his jail time in December, and will be allowed release for Huber, school, and work.
