SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Around four thousand people lost power for up to two hours in the Sheboygan area Monday night due to a transformer issue.
A spokesperson for Alliant Energy tells WHBL news a mechanical failure occurred at a substation on North 31st Street around 10:12, near St. Nicholas Hospital.
Sheboygan Police said they got word from several people of flashes at transformers in the area, and word of stop lights not working.
Alliant Energy says the problem was fixed just before midnight, and they were still looking into the matter as of Tuesday morning.
