
FOND DU LAC, WI (WHBL/KFIZ) - Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue freed a man from his car after it was hit by a train on Scott Street in the city, near the Highway 45 intersection, early Monday morning.
Firefighters extricated the man from the vehicle, which had heavy front end damage after it ran into a Canadian National freight train.
Flight for Life landed on Highway 45 just north of the crash site and flew the man to a trauma center with serious injuries.
None of the train crew was injured.
The incident was reported at 2:52 a.m.
