SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man will start serving a nine month jail sentence next month for sexually assaulting a woman in February of 2014.
Judge Terence Bourke recently sentenced 22 year old Jacob Rosek to the jail time, and requiring him to register as a sex offender for 15 years, after he was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of fourth degree sexual assault. Several weeks earlier, Rosek was given a five year deferred sentence for a second degree sexual assault/use of force felony charge for the incident at the victim’s home in Sheboygan.
The criminal complaint states the two had met through social media and had seen each other for several days before Rosek sexually assaulted the victim. When interviewed, Rosek said the incident was an accident due to his hormones getting the best of him.
Judge Bourke also sentenced Rosek to three years of probation, but that was withheld pending the jail sentence.
