Sheboygan, WI (WHBL) – The National Weather Service in Madison tells WHBL News that the strong line of storms that rolled through northern and central parts of Sheboygan over the weekend downed several trees and power lines, and blew at least two transformers.
Meteorologist Steve Davis says the storm originated in Minnesota and intensified as it cleared Fond du Lac, and moved into Sheboygan County. “There was a lot of tree damage, and I think some of the transformers that went down may have been due to a lightning strike,” Davis says.
There were no injuries reported during Saturday’s storms.
Davis says afternoon showers are expected in the Sheboygan area today. None however are expected to intensify.
