SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Voters in Sheboygan County will go to the polls today to vote in the primary election to narrow the field of candidates in offices where there are more than two in the running.  Voter turnout is usually low for the primary, but that may not be the case in the city of Sheboygan, where voters will be casting ballots for mayor.  The three candidates in the running are incumbent Terry Van Akkeren and challengers Mike Vandersteen and John Belanger.  The top two advance to the April election.  There is also a primary for Chairman in the town of Wilson where incumbent David Gartman has opposition from Daniel Rostollan, Timothy Rakun, and Frederick Pankratz.  The only statewide race on today’s ballot is for State Supreme Court Justice.  Polls open at 7 and remain open until 8 o’clock.
