SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man will serve mostly probation for repeatedly hurting his son.
Judge Terence Bourke found Joseph Dreps Senior guilty of child abuse that caused substantial bodily harm last week after he pleaded no contest. He sentenced the 50 year old to three years probation, which includes 90 days in jail with work release and counseling.
Dreps was charged in March after Sheboygan Police were called to his home and found his 11 year old son with cuts and bruises. The son claimed his father pushed him into a glass door and jumped on him. He also claimed his dad would beat him up whenever he got angry, and it had been going on for the past three years.
