Town of Empire, WI (WHBL-KFIZ) - Five people were injured when a semi crossed over the centerline on Highway 23 east of Fond du Lac and struck two oncoming vehicles head on. It happened shortly after 11 a.m. east of Tower Road in the Town of Empire. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Sergeant Paul Rottscholl says among the injured were a 57-year-old New London man driving one vehicle and his passenger a 65 year-old woman, and in the other vehicle the driver a 48-year-old Fond du Lac woman and two passengers in their seventies. The most seriously injured was a 74-year-old man who was flown to Theda Clark.
