SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The mother of Haley Haen says her daughter was an amazing person.
The 19 year old died Saturday after her vehicle struck an eighteen wheeler at the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Business Drive.
Dawn Zeier tells WHBL News the outpouring from others for her daughter Haley, who also used Fuentes for a last name on Facebook, reflects her interactions with them. "There wasn’t a person that I know that didn’t tell me that when there was anger, somberness, anything in the room, she could make them smile."
Zeier says Haley, who graduated from Sheboygan North last year, was going to culinary school in Sheboygan and had worked for about a month at Cucina in Kohler. Zeier adds Kohler will honor Haen by lowering their flags to half mast on Friday and Saturday "because she was such a bright, beautiful part of their family."
Sheboygan Police confirmed Monday Haen was the one killed in the accident. They are continuing their investigation into the accident, and they say it could take weeks to determine an official cause.
