PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - Work on a main roadway in Plymouth has reached the halfway point.
Highway 67 has been under repairs in the city since early May, replacing underground utilities and repairing the road surface.
The Wisconsin DOT says the first stage of the project would focus on the section from the Mullet River bridge to Caroline Street/County Road C intersection.
That was scheduled to be completed by July 2, and that has happened. Roadways along this stretch of the highway have been reopened to traffic for the first time in nearly two months.
The DOT says the second phase of the project will get underway on Monday, July 6. That will be from the Caroline Street/County Road C intersection north to Suhrke Road. Similar work will be done to the roadway.
That work is expected to continue through October.
