SHEBOYGAN FALLS, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan Falls man is facing his fifth OWI offense.  57 year old Steven Schieble made his initial court appearance for his alleged actions the evening of June 24th.

The criminal complaint states Sheboygan Falls Police were called about a blue minivan that was driving erratically into the downtown area.  The driver of another vehicle said they were following the vehicle and noticed it had swerved across the center line, sped up and slowed down, and almost hit a parked car.

An officer was able to stop the vehicle at the Q-Mart on Broadway Street.  When the officer approached the driver, identified as Schieble, he reportedly noticed Schieble was under the influence of alcohol with glossy eyes, slurred speech, and the smell of intoxicants.

The officer had Schieble conduct field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test.  That test found a blood-alcohol level of point-thirteen, leading to Schieble's arrest.

The criminal complaint states Schieble had four previous OWI conviction, occuring in the years 1992, 1995, 2006, and 2007.

In court, Schieble was given a $2,000 cash bond.  He faces up to six years in prison if found guilty.
