SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County did not have the best month for unemployment numbers in May. The latest figures from the state Department of Workforce Development show Sheboygan County lost 700 jobs in May when compared to April.
As for the unemployment figures, the rate for the City of Sheboygan increased seven-tenths of a percent to four-point-five, while Sheboygan County’s rate grew half-a-percent to four-percent.
Across the state, all metro areas, nearly all major cities, and most counties saw unemployment rates increase. The state as a whole also saw its rate increase for the first time in months.
