SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Dorian Torres will find out this week if he is guilty of killing his father. The 19 year old faces a first-degree intentional homicide felony for the death of his father, 41-year-old Emilio Torres.
Emilio was found hidden behind a box spring wrapped in a plastic shower curtain at the apartment he and Dorian shared in late January of 2014. He had died from multiple blows to the head, causing a skull fracture.
Torres’ fate will be decided by Judge Terence Bourke after he requested a bench trial instead of a jury trial earlier this month. Five days have been scheduled for the trial, but District Attorney Joe DeCecco says it may not take this long since bench trials tend to go quicker than jury trials.
