SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Waldo man will spend time in a state prison for stealing thousands of dollars from his grandmother to maintain a drug addiction.
29 year old Branden Sitzberger entered no contest pleas to theft and identity theft charges this week. Judge Terence Bourke found Sitzberger guilty, and sentence him to one year in state prison and three years extended supervision.
Sitzberger was charged in April after his grandmother found him to have taken over 22-thousand dollars over a nine month period by writing checks and using her debit and credit cards.
Sitzberger said he committed the crimes to maintain a 100-dollar a day heroin addiction.
