UPDATE: Taste of Plymouth This Evening

UPDATE: Taste of Plymouth organizer Randy Schwoerer tells WHBL in case rain becomes an issue this evening, the event will be moved indoors.  Booths will be set up in Pourvino, DeO'Malleys, Exchange Bank Coffee Shop, and 52 Stafford.  Signage in the windows at each location will show which restaurants are in each location.

PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) -For the first time, the Downtown Plymouth Association will host a Taste of Plymouth event.  It will be held right on Mill Street from 4 to 10 p.m.

Speaking to WHBL’s Sheboygan’s Morning News this week, organizer Randy Schwoerer says the association wanted to do something different than what Plymouth has seen in the recent past.  "Start the summer with an event, not wait until later in when the groove is on," says Schwoerer.  "And then also a Thursday so that people can still go out and hang out on the weekend and work on their yard."

The event will features 13 restaurants offering samples for a cost.  They include:

-DeO’Malleys

-Exchange Bank Coffee Shop

-PJ Campbell’s at the Depot

-Pourvino Winebar & Bistro

-Antoinette’s

-52 Stafford

-Mill Street Garden

-Pic-A-Deli at Generations

-Bar-B-Que

-Wild Shots

-Chester’s

-More Frosting Please

-Sweet Basil

There will also be a wide variety of beer, wine and soft drinks.

Two live bands are also scheduled to perform: Gumbo starting at 4 p.m., and Michael Ammons and the Water Street Hotshots starting at 7 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the Generations Intergenerational Coalition.
