SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan County Fair may be more than two months away, but who will be busy promoting it will be selected this evening. The annual Fairest of the Fair Gala will take place at Laack’s Ballroom in Johnsonville.
Four ladies with connections to 4-H and/or FFA are running for the title this year. They are Kimberly Beck of Plymouth, Shannon McCabe of Sheboygan, Sarah Schalk of Waldo, and Elizabeth Widder of Sheboygan Falls.
Last year’s Fairest of the Fair Danielle Navis says whoever is selected will be busy the next few months. "We come and we welcome the community to come, make sure they understand everything that’s going on," says Navis. "We welcome them to all the events that are going on. So the whole summer is pretty pack for whoever is Fairest of the Fair."
Despite the hectic schedule, Navis says the past year will be one to remember. "It was a really great year, probably the best year that I’ve ever had. A dream come true, truly."
This year’s Sheboygan County Fair runs from September 3rd through the 7th.
