KOHLER, WI (WHBL) - A senior at Kohler High School is facing sexual assault charges for his actions to a fellow student last fall.
18 year old Charles Tobin of Plymouth was charged Wednesday with a repeated sexual assault of a child felony. The charge stems from having inappropriate interactions with a then 15 year old classmate from Kohler High School.
The victim got in contact with Kohler Police and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department last week about the incidents. She told law enforcement Tobin had been in contact with her with social messages for several months starting last July to spend time together.
It was not until late October when she and Tobin were together twice inside a vehicle and Tobin touched her. Once was during the school’s lunch period along the side of a road, and the other was after school in the Sports Core parking lot.
The two were also together on a different day in Tobin’s bedroom. It was here the victim said Tobin sexually assaulted her.
Tobin was interviewed by law enforcement. He confirmed two of the incidents but could not remember any others.
Tobin made his initial court appearance Wednesday, and faces up to 40 years in prison if found guilty.
