SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Roads throughout the Sheboygan area are snow - covered and slippery this morning. Highway Commissioner Greg Schnell says they’ve been at it overnight and will continue throughout the day today. He said there were 4 trucks working throughout the night and then early this morning a full force of 43 snowplow trucks and 7 graders. He said main roads are plowed, but there is drifting. He said secondary roads can still be a problem. Schnell said they had to free a couple of people stuck in the middle of the road overnight due to that drifting. He said, “depending on where you are, there are reports of up to 10 inches of snow west of Sheboygan and only six inches in areas closer to the lake." Meanwhile, Sgt. Jim Gottsacker, of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, said that in a 24 hour period from about 5 last night, deputies responded to 42 incidents of either vehicles in the ditch or property damage accidents. He urged people to slow down and give themselves some extra time in getting to their destinations.
