SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Preparations continue for a trial next week for the suspect in a Sheboygan child trafficking ring. A motion hearing was held Monday for human trafficking charges against 29 year old Pao Chang. The Appleton man was charged in 2013 in connection to bringing teenage girls into Sheboygan for prostitution.
WHBL News archives show Sheboygan Police investigated Chang’s alleged actions for over a year. They found Chang would arrange for runaway teenage girls, ranging in age from 13 to 21, to come to Sheboygan to have sexual encounters with men at various locations in the city. He would collect the money in exchange for giving the girls a place to live.
Online court records show another motion hearing is scheduled for Friday, and a four day jury trial will begin May 12.
