Fond du Lac, WI (WHBL-KFIZ) - Fire damaged a two-story home and sent one person to the hospital for smoke inhalation treatment early Monday morning in Fond du Lac. Assistant Fire Chief Steve Beer says no one was at home during the fire at 20 South Lincoln Street, but a person tried to get into the home before firefighters arrived and suffered from smoke inhalation. He says fire crews found heavy fire on the first and second floors of the home. Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby homes. The time of the fire call was 12:21 a.m.
