SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The group “Save the Field of Dreams” is continuing to fight against a proposed sale of portions of the north-side Sheboygan green space to Aurora.
Member Renee Rusch says the group will be holding an informational hearing Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock at the Mead Public Library. "You may hear from your fellow community members who will speak about the decision to destroy the Field of Dreams, and the impact this will have on your tax dollars, your school district, and your city," says Rusch
The group is also planning a rally on Saturday to protest the sale. "10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Aurora Medical Clinic, 2414 Kohler Memorial Drive, on the southside public sidewalk," says Rusch.
So far, the Sheboygan Area School District has agreed to sell parts of Field of Dreams North to Aurora. The Sheboygan Common Council will decide April 8th whether to approve zoning changes so Aurora can build an outpatient surgery and medical office buildings.
