SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - There will be a competitive race for Kevin Matichek’s former alderman seat. Sheboygan Clerk Sue Richards says two people have registered write-in campaigns for Sheboygan’s fourth district seat up for election in April.
One candidate is Matt Wierzbach. The program director for the Sailing Education Association of Sheboygan says district residents need to have the opportunity to elect a meaningful candidate. Also running is Ted Bingham, a former Army National Guardsman.
Matichek was up for re-election but resigned his seat this month after charged with sexual assault of a minor. This left Job Hou-Seye as the only person actively running for the seat on the ballot.
