SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan Area School District Superintendent Joe Sheehan told district residents Thursday the land where Field of Dreams North is can be sold since an original purpose for another middle school will not be needed.
There are several criteria that must be met for any buyer. They include getting at least a fair market price, replacing sports fields and monuments with similar or improved facilities, and selling to someone who will add value to the community. "Is it someone that’s an employer that we can look at and say we are glad they’re in our community? In this case we can definitely say this about Aurora," says Sheehan.
The district’s Board of Education will decide on the two-point-five million dollar purchase on Tuesday.
