WASHINGTON D.C. (WHBL) - Wisconsin’s newest Congressman is already taking heat for his first vote in the House. Glenn Grothman voted to re-elect John Boehner as Speaker of the House Tuesday, a vote one conservative blogger says contradicts the Campbellsport Republican's conservative rhetoric during his campaign.
Grothman tells WHBL news the actual vote for Boehner’s leadership came right after the November election. "Once the Republicans, or Democrats for that matter, get together in November and decide who their leader is, all the Republicans and Democrats stick together on the floor," said Grothman.
Grothman, who was sworn into the House Tuesday, says future votes will show he is more conservative than Boehner.
