PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - The cheese will drop again in Plymouth to ring in 2015. The Plymouth Arts Center will host its eight annual New Year’s Eve Big Cheese Drop Wednesday evening.
Executive Director Donna Hahn says several hundred people are expected to watch the 80-pound metal cheese wedge be lowered by a Plymouth Fire Department ladder truck at midnight. "The sirens will blow and the lights will flash, and it will come down and we’ll do the countdown, and just have a very quick party outside for about five minutes," said Hahn.
Prior to this, there will be other activities inside the Arts Center. "We have four musicians that are going to take turns and play throughout the evening starting at 8:30. So it will be a lot of fun," said Hahn
The entire evening is free, and anyone coming for more than the cheese drop is asked to bring an appetizer, dessert or non-alcoholic beverage to share. There will be cheese hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar on site as well.
