SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - We are finding out just where new area state legislators will be serving in government committees next session.
Senator-elect Devin LeMahieu announced this week he will be chairing the Senate’s Elections and Local Government Committee next session. In a statement, the Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors - which is replacing Joe Leibham - says LeMahieu is honored with the position, and is looking forward to leading a committee that will take up the recent issues brought up with an audit of the state’s Government Accountability Board.
LeMahieu will also be serving as a member in three other Senate committees: Agriculture, Small Business and Tourism, and Health and Human Services, along with two joint Senate/Assembly committees regarding Tax Exemptions and Review of Administrative Rules.
