SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County’s Clerk of Circuit Courts is ready to retire after 14 years on the job.
Nan Todd has been an employee in the county’s circuit court system for over 36 years and has a computer and financial discrepancies to thank. "I was hired to review all of the accounts and try to figure out what hadn’t gone through the computer that should have; and that’s back in the days with the old, huge mainframes," said Todd. After this project, Todd worked in the Clerk of Circuit Court’s office as an accountant until she got the chance to run for the top spot in 2000, which she won and has held since.
Todd says it will be tough to leave and not just for the friendships made through the years. "I’m going to miss the day to day activities. I’m going to miss having something to do that feels productive every day," said Todd.
Todd plans to tackle some household projects once she retires January 2.
