SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The expansion of a weekly summer downtown Sheboygan concert series will get the financial boost they were looking for.  Levitt Pavilions announced Monday the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and the City of Shebyogan will receive one of ten 25-thousand dollars grants they offered through an online vote and selection process.

Ann Brusky, senior manager for public programs at the arts center, says they are excited to use the money towards their M.I.K.E. concert series and pay for certain acts.  "The money is, mainly, covers the entertainment is what it’s going to be doing, which is fantastic, and allowing that these concerts can be free for our community," said Brusky.

Brusky says the public can help with the process with meetings in February.  The full concert series lineup should be announced in the spring.

Mayor Mike Vandersteen thanks area residents who helped to get Sheboygan recognized for the grant during Monday's city council meeting.
