SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan alderwoman Susan Lessard plans to step down in 2016. Lessard has been on the Sheboygan city council since 2012 serving the seventh district, and as for now this second term will be her last.
Lessard said she ran for the council to play an active role in making the city better for her grandchildren, but always envisions the council would have no long serving members and had always had new people joining. "Everyone has different skills, and I was always hoping that everyone would work together, and it seems that for the most part that’s happening, and you throw different ideas out there and you just try to make this city the best it can be," said Lessard
Lessard has been active in making Sheboygan a better place before joining the council, and vows to continue to do so when she leaves, mainly in the district she lives in but also in the community as a whole.
