SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man went one too many times to a neighbor’s garage to steal tools and construction equipment.
33-year-old Michael Schmidt is charged for allegedly entering the Illinois Avenue garage three times last month and taking over five thousand dollars worth of items. Sheboygan Police were able to trace the crime to Schmidt after the third attempt by following footprints left in the snow.
When questioned, Schmidt admitted to the thefts saying he was pressured by another person to commit the crime.
Schmidt now faces over 40 years in prison.
